Longview Farm
is a diverse operation. Hay is the largest crop on the farm.
During a typical year, we will get two cuttings and with a late frost
we’ll get a third cutting. We have an orchard of 100 trees which are
doing very well. We’ll be expanding in 2009. Peaches, Blackberries,
Raspberries, and Strawberries grow very well as do most vegetables.
Tomatoes take extra care as the Bitterroot Valley is famous for its
cool nights.
We sell lamb,
hay, berries, vegetables and compost from the farm. Berries are sold
fresh or as jams/ jellies and are available at the local farmers
market in Stevensville. Longview farm is also the home of Beavis and
Buster Horse Treats LLC, an all natural “horse cookie” treat. They
are made fresh at Longview Farm and are available online at
bbhorsetreats.com
or at local farm stores. Visitors are welcome from
April through September, 8am to 5 pm, so come on out and see us!!!
