Longview Farm
is a family owned small farm located in Stevensville, Montana, which
is the heart of the Bitterroot Valley. Stevensville is the oldest
established town in Montana and is located about 25 miles south of
Missoula. With a population of about 1500 people it has small town
charm and appeal! The farm was homesteaded in the early 1900’s by the
Higgins family from Wisconsin. We are the second owners and purchased
the farm in 2003.
We enjoy a
beautiful view of the Bitterroot Mountains and the Sapphire Mountains
to the east at the farm. The farm is irrigated by both the Supply
Ditch and Union Ditch water. The Bitterroot River is about 2 miles
from the farm so it is a quick trip to the local fishing “hole”. The
farm is home to an abundance of wildlife such as deer, elk, pheasants,
humming birds, and the occasional coyote.
